Nik Henderson

Hi there! I'm an illustrator from Missouri that loves drawing the weird and wonderful. I enjoy working traditionally, often opting to use graphite, charcoal, and paint. I like to work with my hands and experiment with different tools and techniques. I'm drawn to projects that are imaginative and strange, and stories that inspire the reader to ponder "what if?"

I am represented by Chad Beckerman at The CAT Agency. Please email chad@catagencyinc.com for enquiries.

I grew up in rural Missouri, where I developed a love for drawing and painting. While other kids were playing football, illegally climbing water towers, or chasing their crush, I was writing stories, painting trees, and making stop motion movies from clay and Legos. It was something I couldn't seem to stop doing, and I was fortunate enough to have incredibly supportive parents and teachers who helped nurture my passion.

It was always apparent to me that I should work in the creative industry, so once high school was said and done, I studied illustration at the Savannah College of Art and Design. I initially began  working in the animation industry as a visual development artist, before moving on to primarily work in book illustration.

Besides drawing, I enjoy traveling, in fact I really enjoy projects that require research so I have an excuse to travel someplace new! I also enjoy collecting aviation and maritime artifacts, and building dioramas, which I often build as reference for illustrations.

I love to draw...
